This sweet and spooky mix is a hit for Halloween.
- Microwave popcorn according to directions on the bag. Remove any unpopped kernels. Let cool slightly.
- Melt chocolate in a microwave safe bowl on 50% power in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval until melted and smooth. Add food coloring of your choice and stir in. Drizzle half of melted chocolate over popcorn mixture then stir, tossing gently a few times with a rubber spatula. (Note: you can also split the melted chocolate and drizzle with two different colors).
- Drizzle remaining half of melted chocolate over popcorn and gently stir mixture until evenly coated (don't over stir or your sprinkles won't stick as the chocolate begins to set and harden).
- Pour mixture onto wax paper in a single layer. Sprinkle entire mixture evenly with sprinkles (as many as you'd like) before the chocolate sets. Allow to cool and harden, then gently break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
