Save the Seeds!

What to do:- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F
- Clean pumpkin seeds by removing all pulp and rinsing under cool water.
- Dry seeds by spreading them evenly into a single layer on a cookie sheet and baking for 10 minutes. Toss once about half way through time.
- Remove seeds from oven and allow to cool.
- Toss seeds with melted butter or olive oil (depending on flavor) until evenly coated.
- Toss seeds with desired seasonings (see options below) until evenly coated.
- Spread evenly into a single layer on cookie sheet.
- Bake for an additional 25 minutes or until golden brown. Toss every 5-7 minutes to avoid uneven roasting.
- Remove from oven. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Enjoy!
FLAVORS
Traditional
2 Tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Sweet – Cinnamon & Sugar
2 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp Cinnamon and sugar mixture
Savory – Parmesan & Garlic
2 Tbsp melted butter or olive oil
½ c. grated parmesan cheese
2 tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. salt
Spicy – Buffalo Ranch
1 Tbsp melted butter
1 Tbsp buffalo sauce
2 Tbsp ranch seasoning (dry packet)
Mix butter and buffalo sauce together. Then follow steps 5-9.
Specialty – Kansas City BBQ Spice
2 Tbsp melted butter
2 Tbsp BBQ rub
