Blackberry-Rosemary Whiskey Old-Fashioned

Enjoy a colorful twist on a classic cocktail.
- In small saucepot, heat blackberries, sugar and 1/2 cup water to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to medium and simmer 5 minutes or until reduced by 1/3. Cool completely; strain and discard blackberries. Makes about 6 tablespoons simple syrup.
- In cocktail shaker, muddle 1 rosemary sprig, orange slices and simple syrup with muddler or large wooden spoon handle; add whiskey and bitters. Fill shaker halfway with ice; stir 1 minute.
- Fill 2 (12-ounce) rocks glasses with ice. Strain whiskey mixture through fine-mesh strainer into glasses; garnish with remaining 2 rosemary sprigs, orange twists and blackberries.
