- Grease a skillet and heat over medium-high heat.
- Stir together pancake mix, milk, and egg. Pour to form about 5-inch wide pancakes.
- Cook until edges are dry and bubbles start to form on surface. Flip and cook until golden.
- For each owl, transfer a cooked pancake on a plate you'll use to serve.
- Peel and slice a banana into at least 8 slices. Place two slices on to each pancake, then top each banana slice with a blueberry.
- Peel the mandarin orange or clementines, saving the peel. Split each in half. Reserve one half as a bucket for each owl. trim individual slices to create beaks, feet, and hat bands.
- Use kitchen shears to cut reserved orange peel into 4 round strips for bucket handles. You can also cut small jack-o-lantern faces. add to orange half and place next to pancake as a candy pail.
- Slice plum into 4 thick slices and 4 thin slices. Use thick slices as the top of the hat and thin slices as the hat's brim, separated by a small orange slice.
- Divide each cheese slice in half, then make several cuts part way down each half. Wrap each half around the top of a pencil rod to form a broom, and place next to the owl pancake.
- Slice apples and place on slice on each side of the pancake owl as wings.
