A flavorful bacon-filled waffle that is perfect for a delightful spring brunch.

A flavorful bacon-filled waffle that is perfect for a delightful spring brunch.

  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. Cook bacon until crisp. Drain grease and pat dry.
  3. Allow to cool and then crumble (or cut) into small bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  4. Combine waffle mix, water and oil. Whisk together until large lumps are gone.
  5. Stir bacon pieces into batter.
  6. Spray waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.
  7. Pour ½ cup (or recommended amount for waffle iron) on to waffle iron. Close iron.
  8. Allow to cook until waffle is medium brown. (Cooking time will vary based on size and temperature of waffle iron.)
  9. Carefully remove from waffle iron.
  10. Top with more bacon crumbles and syrup.
  11. Serve immediately
