- Use a needle and thread to string garland.
- DRIED CITRUS
- Slice oranges. Dab the extra juice off the orange slices with a paper towel (don’t squish the juice out).
- Line the orange slices on your oven rack. Bake at 275°F for 1 hour and then at 225°F for 2 more hours. Open your oven every thirty minutes to release the moisture. Turn the oranges a couple times to prevent lines and curling.
- CRANBERRIES
- Use fresh cranberries. To prolong the life of the garland, try spraying shellac on the cranberries after stringing.
- To avoid staining, do not place the garland directly on lightly-painted surfaces or linens.
- FRESH POPPED POPCORN
- CINNAMON STICKS
- DRIED BAY LEAVES
