Fresh fruits baked with just a simple touch of sweet & cinnamon. Topped with your favorite - walnuts or pecans in melted butter. Baked at a low temp for one hour, this makes your whole house smell amazing while you wait to enjoy. We promise it will be a new holiday go-to recipe.

Spiced Hot Fruit Bake
What you need:
- 2 cups apples, sliced
- 2 cups pears, sliced
- 1 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (save the juice)
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 stick (4 tablespoons) butter, melted
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, plus extra for topping
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey.
- For the topping:
- 1/3 cup chopped raw walnuts or pecans
- 2 teaspoons melted butter, to coat walnuts or pecans
- Pinch of cinnamon
What to do:
- Preheat oven to 300°F.
- In a large bowl, toss the apples, pears, cranberries, and pineapple. Add lemon juice, toss again, and set aside.
- In a glass bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup or honey. Mix in a few tablespoons of reserved pineapple juice.
- Add sugar and butter mixture to fruit and coat evenly.
- Pour fruit evenly into a 13-by 9- inch baking dish.
- Toss nuts in 2 teaspoons melted butter and a pinch of cinnamon. Sprinkle the nuts over the top of the dish and bake for 1 hour.
