With a little planning ahead, you can prepare ready to heat and eat meals and store them in your freezer until you need them. Here are three different types of meals that work great for this.
Burritos
Burritos are endlessly customizable. You can go the breakfast route with scrambled eggs and bacon, or simply roll up beans and cheese. Burritos are easy to wrap up and freeze in plastic wrap. When you’re ready to eat, just zap it in the microwave for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Crockpot Meals
Sometimes there’s a great deal on your favorite slow cooker recipe protein. Go ahead and stick it in a plastic bag already with the rest of the ingredients. Then, when you’re ready to make it, you can just dump the entire contents of the bag into your slow cooker, turn it on, and wait!
Casserole
Build your favorite casserole now, then pop it in the freezer instead of the oven! When you’re ready to use it, just add five minutes to your regular cooking time.
