Vampire Spaghetti
Ingredients:
- Cooked spaghetti pasta
- Pasta sauce
- Sliced, fresh mozzarella
- Black olives
Directions:
- Add spaghetti to bowl or plate, top with sauce
- Place two mozzarella slices eyes near the top center of the sauce. Use a little more sauce to draw bloodshot lines and a dollop in the center of the mozzarella then top with half a black olive for the pupil.
- Cut mozzarella (or you can use small onion slices) into fangs and place in the bottom center of the sauce.
Mini Orange Jack-O-Lanterns
Ingredients:
- Clementines or mandarin oranges
Directions:
- Let the kids paint fun faces with black and white tempera or acrylic paint on the orange peels.
- Once dry, set out as a more edible version of mini-pumpkin jack-o-lanterns.
Pumpkin Oreo Cookies
Ingredients:
- Oreo cookies
- Pre-made orange frosting
- Pumpkin seeds
Directions:
- Cover one side of the cookie with orange frosting.
- Use a toothpick to draw pumpkin lines (or a jack-o-lantern face)
- Add a pumpkin seed at the top as a stem.
Banana Ghosts
Ingredients:
Directions:
- Peel and cut bananas in half crosswise.
- Carefully heat up chocolate chips. In the microwave, warm up about 20 seconds at a time, stirring between, repeat until smooth. OR – heat using a double boiler. Let cool, but keep liquid.
- Carefully spoon cooled, melted chocolate into a sandwich bag. Cut off one corner.
- Place cut bananas on wax paper or cutting board, then pipe on chocolate eyes and a mouth. Let stand until solid.
